Online Seminar - 6th April - 9th April 2020 2pm - 2:40pm
This is an online class directed to school children currently being home schooled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The class will run every day on Zoom during the last week of NSW school term before Easter 2020, from 2pm to 2:40pm and cover the history of modern music. I will be following a timeline from the development of the Delta blues in the late 19th century through to modern day radio-worthy music and its artists.
The course is $100. Parents may use their NSW Creative Kids Voucher as payment, essentially costing you nothing! If you have not already applied for your Creative Kids Voucher please do so by heading to the Creative Kids site on service NSW website. Of course, if you have already used your Creative Kids Voucher but still wish to sign up for the course you may do so. Learn the basics whilst having fun with others Starts October 26 Back Alley Studio, Balmain Saturday Mornings 9:45 and 10:45 respectively 4 spots per class, 8 x 45 minute sessions $277.20 per student
The aim of the class is to introduce basic knowledge of the instrument, learn common open position chords and note names within the first 3 frets on each string. The course will be based around learning a couple of popular modern songs and traditional tunes, and participants will learn chords, melody and bass lines for each piece. This course is designed for children who have not played the guitar before. This is a weekly course for 8 weeks, participants are required to attend all classes in the schedule and makeups or refunds for missed classes will not be issued. Participants are required to bring their own instrument and pick to each class. Practice material will be provided at the first lesson and subsequent classes as we progress. Participants are required to practice the material outside of class during their own time in order to progress as quickly as possible.
